Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos
Science and Industry Museum
2026

Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos is the Science and Industry Museum’s flagship temporary exhibition for 2026, bringing the hit BBC children’s comedy series to life in a wonderfully weird adventure through the Solar System. Developed for a primary-school-aged audience and their families, the exhibition invites visitors to use their scientific knowledge to save the Solar System, or join forces with Dr. Big Brain to overthrow it…

The exhibition is a fully interactive environment, with a sequence of distinct, theatrical sets guiding visitors on a narrative journey through space. Immersive scenic environments, large-scale backdrops, bespoke illustration and photographic montage combine to create a bold, playful visual world that brings the irreverent humour of Horrible Science into the physical space.
