Celebrating 40 years of National Museums Liverpool, the exhibition brings together 40 objects from the collections of its seven museums. Each object was chosen by different curator, with each caption being written with a different tone of voice. ‘This is my object’ gave personality and connection to each story.   

The design reflects the idea of a storehouse, offering a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work that visitors do not usually see. This was achieved through re-using stock crates, palettes and showcases to display objects and tell personal stories within the museum. Mannequins, fabric and frames create a layered landscape that gave dynamism to the space.
