Drinkall Dean were appointed as lead and interpretation designers for the restoration and redisplay of Station Hall at the National Railway Museum, York. The project reimagines this Grade II listed former goods station as an engaging interpretative experience exploring over a century of railway life, from royal travel and station design to the everyday impact of the railways on work and leisure. Our scope included the interpretive approach, exhibition and spatial design, and the creation of the tea rooms within the listed Countess of York carriage - an immersive environment combining heritage detail with contemporary visitor experience.
